WHAT IS SOCIAL DINING?

The idea of social dining has been around since ancient times. Archeological findings show that social gatherings have been an important part of culture since the beginning of time. Excluding the Mayans etc., Thanksgiving at Plymouth Rock was the first well-known social gathering in the New World. 'Breaking bread' with new acquaintances, enjoying a fine meal, and nurturing friendships are essentially what we consider social dining.

Unlike our ancestors whose social dynamics were quite different, society today is (generally speaking) structured more towards isolation than socialization. This is especially true for single people who are 'beyond the bar scene'. It can be extremely difficult to meet people in today's world.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Bon Vivant (French meaning: a lover of the good life; a gourmand), as the name implies, places its emphasis on the finer 'things' in life, such as great cuisine. No, we're not food or wine snobs, but we do understand the difference between just 'eating out', and 'dining out'.

Single diners have always complained about second class treatment in dining rooms around the world. Although we can't change the ways of the world, SBV does its best to make first class cuisine and service available to you. Experience the ambiance of the establishment, meet friendly people, enjoy the company of fellow members, and delight in the restaurant's cuisine. You can look forward to an evening when stress, problems, and worries can be left behind.
