MOUNT ARLINGTON PUBLIC LIBRARY [Billy Trooper & the MUstard Monsters]
Whoooooooooooosssssshhhh!!
The stolen Worm scout ship cleared the Earth's atmosphere.
Billy Trooper, having just been rescued by his faithful friend Carmen, dusted himself off and looked around the ship's interior. "Thanks, Carmen!" Billy grinned. "Next time I'll take your advice and put the chewed gum on my boots."
"On the bottoms. The bottoms of your boots," sighed Carmen.
"Sure," said Billy. "The bottoms. But it's hard getting the timing.....say!...who's driving this thing, anyway?"
Carmen closed the hatch and removed his helmet. He took off his glasses and while polishing them he nodded to the front of the craft. "Darryl."
Billy frowned. "Darryl, the Duck of Doing?" His frown grew deeper. "Is he carrying that dreadful bow?"
Carmen led Billy to the back of the ship. "It's not a problem. I took his arrows away. Never mind that for now, Darryl can handle this miserable Worm bucket. Look at this."
Carmen pointed to a large crate strapped tight to the deck.
"What is it?" asked Billy. "Weapons?"
"Worse!" hissed Carmen. "Much worse!"
The blood drained from Billy's face. "You mean......"
"Yes." Carmen approached the crate cautiously, fearful of booby-traps. "It's mustard!"
"It is
much more
than a
simple spice,"
intoned the professor. "It is the Worms' key to the ultimate power!"
