MCLF exists "to support and enhance the activities and programs of the Morris County Library." Its
objectives are
Raise funds for the purchase of library materials, support of children's services, and adult
literacy.
Support educational and promotional activities developed by the Morris County Library Foundation.
Support special projects.
It is through Foundation generosity that the County Library has
installed two Internet stations, with software for the low-visioned, for our disabled patrons
professional music concerts, the NJ Symphony Orchestra presents Mozart, classical Indian music (sitar and tabla),
a program of Broadway songs, Sospiro Winds, the NJ Jazz Society
and HerStory, the Moonlight Duo
hosted Paws for Reading, in conjuction with St. Hubert's.
Other major donors include BASF and the Brandeis Women's Club. We thank them.
Donations to the Library Foundation are tax deductible and eligible for company matching fund programs.
The nonprofit foundation is a legacy for
the future. It supplements taxpayer support of the library by attracting private funding and endowments that make the
difference between a "good" and a "great" library for our county. A first-rate library encourages settlement by business and
individuals, it supports educational efforts, it leads to a better informed public and a better quality of life.
