- Players are obviously happy with the new acquisitions, Mathis and Myers.
All but Chung, who is reportedly very unhappy about his not starting and
says he wants out. Do not look for Nick and OZ to get rid of him however.
They both feel he is a valuable player and is definitely in their plans. They
are doing things so much different than Charlie ever did... such as planning
for the future, not looking for a quick fix. Finally, Finally, Finally.
- Look for Comas to be shipped out of town in the near future. Metros are
reportedly trying to find any takers, if not they will waive him. He does not
fit in with this team and OZ is willing to dump him even though he was his
project. Some players have said how much they dislike him and cannot
wait to get rid of him. Just less snow coming into the New Jersey area
by way of Colombia (is this a good thing or bad you may ask?)
- Early in the week, Walsh had a heart to heart with OZ about his situation
with the team. OZ told him he will not get rid of him as he is needed in case
of a injury to Dooley -- see Saturday's game -- as well as needing him for next
year when Lothar and Dooley are gone. Yes Lothar will be gone next year,
but if OZ and Nick have their way, it will be sooner rather than later.
- If you would like to have a great time and get absolutely rat ass drunk
following
a Metro's win (and I stress WIN), look no further than Houstons in Secaucus
near the Holiday Inn. Nick was seen there following the Tampa game buying
drinks for some of the players from both teams. Seems Nick is fond of the old
bottle following a win. Don't look for him out on the town following a loss
however, he is one of the worst losers (again, that's following a loss) there is. But keep
up the good work Nick, we are proud of the team you are building and hard work you
have done so far.
- One last cheer for all of you in attendance on Saturday night - great
atmosphere
that should be bettered for this Saturday. Without us screaming and
supporting the franchise would not exist. Let's continue to
show
our loyalty and attend each game.
