FLORHAM PARK RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS 377-9431
The Florham Park Recreation Commission
administers the facilities and programs described herein. The goal of the
Commission is to provide quality recreational activities for Florham Park
residents of all ages. All programs require a registration form and fee.
The Recreation Commission meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7
p.m. These meeting are open for public response and are held in the Conference
Room at the Community Center. The Recreation office, also located in the
Community Center, is open Monday thru Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and
is staffed by a full time Recreation Director, Theresa Grady; and Secretary,
Dolores Klenke.
FACILITIES
The 70 acre Borough complex located at
111 Ridgedale Avenue includes the following Recreation facilities:
Community Center - houses
the Recreation office and the Florham Park Senior Citizens Club. In addition
to the recreation and senior citizens offices, there is a large meeting
room complete with kitchen and rest rooms, as well as a small conference
room. These areas accommodate year round programs sponsored by the Recreation
Commission.
Emmett Park - comprises
approximately 49 acres of the Borough complex and includes a regulation
size soccer field, a senior league baseball field, a little league field,
a softball field, football field, two tennis courts and a tot lot. Also
located in the Borough complex are 4 lighted tennis courts, 2 lighted platform
tennis courts, a lighted basketball court, an all-purpose practice area/ice
skating rink, also lighted, a little league field and a picnic area.
